3 hours. basic model of a VF-01 Valkyrie Variable Fighter from Macross.

Still unfinished. I was having difficulties with creating a perfect duplicate of the starboard wing, and there are still some obvious clipping issues with the rig itself. But watching this over and over does kinda make my night.

I recently got into the Macross anime, and ive been thinking of nothing but the series Variable Fighters for a while. This is a rough painting of a VF-1 Valkyrie in GERWALK mode, hovering. The details of the fighter here arent accurate and are jsut from memory.

Several more hours of work and I’ve accomplished the basic rig for my mk2 model of the Variable Fighter.

About 4 hours work modeling a Variable Fighter from the Macross anime series. I’ve currently begun work on a new mesh as this origonal one was flawed to the point that it was quicker and easier to rebuild it from scratch.

The new one will also have arms.
