3 hours. basic model of a VF-01 Valkyrie Variable Fighter from Macross.
Still unfinished. I was having difficulties with creating a perfect duplicate of the starboard wing, and there are still some obvious clipping issues with the rig itself. But watching this over and over does kinda make my night.
About 4 hours work modeling a Variable Fighter from the Macross anime series. I’ve currently begun work on a new mesh as this origonal one was flawed to the point that it was quicker and easier to rebuild it from scratch.
My first proper attempt at drawing passable facial expressions. Started off with some woeful attempts at Milo Thatch and Kida from Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and then decided to redraw the keyframes of Korra from this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQO59b-SjY4
Ok, here is what I was working on tonight! took me far to long to render, for now it is past my scheduled sleep hour, yet still I ramble on!
After working on the trek ship a bit more I’ve gotten to the point where all thats left is textures. And I hate textures. So I swapped over and wanted to sketch a helicopter/jet thigny landing. The idea was a craft that was half way between the P-jet in Avengers and the huey looking hchoppers from Avatar. then sketching it on paper and in photoshop didnt go to well, so I said to myself “Self, why dont you just make a quick 3d model of it, and the trace that? What a good idea Self!”
Phase 1 of build the model went well. Phase 2 of sketching it didn’t go so well. I’ve already drawn something similar to this scene anyway, and here it is. Not sure about the lens flairs, they came out a bit too bright. I may edit it in the morning.
An arty sort of blog where i post a lot of my wips when I'm bored. Trying to keep my skills up. I'm a mainly digital artist, emphasizing on science fiction and technical art, so ships weapons and robots mostly.
