3 hours. basic model of a VF-01 Valkyrie Variable Fighter from Macross.

Still unfinished. I was having difficulties with creating a perfect duplicate of the starboard wing, and there are still some obvious clipping issues with the rig itself. But watching this over and over does kinda make my night.

WIP of an alternate timeline Deep Space 9 from Star Trek. An idea where the original DS9 was destroyed and a much larger, more awesome replacement was constructed. drawing the idea and context from the way that Evangelion Anima has introduced new Evangelion designs, so this would be a very over the top amazing thing, with moving parts, a battle mode, and weapons everywhere.

Another origonal character, this time tryingnto evoke a more female form. I plan on creating two more of these characters. One will speficaly have female traits and be male, and the other will have male traits and be female. I do always enjoy seeing clothing, fashion and body forms subverted.

Two characters I drew spontaneously tonight. Largely a result of reading the webcomic Homestuck and its , at times, surrealistic settings and characters. and Also inspired by the album artwork of Lapfox.

I really wanted to do some exaggerated and strong sexy poses. Also I wanted to try and draw some of my more favorite clothing styles of cyberpunk and urban. I just love baggy jeans and baggy hoodies.

I had to briefly edit these on my computer because I haven’t figured out how to change the orientation on my tablet painting app.The colours look much better on my monitor than they did when I was drawing them. much brighter.

I recently got into the Macross anime, and ive been thinking of nothing but the series Variable Fighters for a while. This is a rough painting of a VF-1 Valkyrie in GERWALK mode, hovering. The details of the fighter here arent accurate and are jsut from memory.

An F-22 Raptor model i’m working on in 3ds Max 2013. Originally crated as a single plane, it was then duplicated and the dorsal side was created. the two were then attached. the symmetry modifier keeps it symmetrical using quite a few reference pictures. Probably going to end up as a low poly model.
rather proud of it so far.

Inspired by RahXephon fighters and the Booster frame on EVA Unit 02 in the preview for the third rebuild Evangelion movie

Several sketches i did on my tablet up to a few weeks ago. Moving the pictures across so that, in case i loose my tablet, they are preserved.

After watching more Macross and various other mech media, I’m still working on my own designs. this one was a cool idea i found, where the mech has a very large pair of wings mounted on the shoulders that fold up rather like eagle wings, and then transform into a lifting body type airplane, along with stealth design influences.

Sketches detailing the rockets for my skating mechanisms suit. I imagine two banks of three mounted rockets on the suits shoulders, and then a small set of four on the chestplate. The rear ones are for rocket enabled jumps or skating and the front ones are retro rockets for slowing down. This is partial as a safety feature, and also as one that would enable the suit to go from high speed to zero to gurus quickly or drop.

After watching Halo Legends short film “the prototype” I had my try at designing a skating mech suit.
